A collaboration piece with ~Jinshu that almost went half-assed since we're both so busy! You can see his artwork in the gallery, the theme was Steampunk, I drew klaine, he drew kum (aka Hevans to those who prefer the other term).
Inspired by ~LaValseDesReines who went to a convention up in NY, and was amazed to see live steampunk styles, and I know technically they should look more or less like greasemonkeys all covered in dust, grease, and smoke... But let's not forget to be in character, these are Dapper Gentlemen who pull off the elegance in steampunk style quite nicely.
I got kinda lazy with Blaine, as I drew Kurt first and just COULD NOT find a pose that looked right for Blaine next to him....I hope it doesn't look too awkward. Whatevs, I'm kinda happy with how this came out, and I'm REALLY digging Kurt's clothing. DO WANT.
Oh gosh, oh gosh. You shouldn't be allowed to do this to me, Steampunk!Klaine will melt me, just, guh, LOVE IT. I really like the colours, and I don't think it's too different from the steampunk theme, I think as much as it's kind of gritty, I always think of these more sophisticated members of steampunk society with the same clothes and gadgets but with these more flamboyant colours and crisper edges and cleaner appearances and I'm rambling, oh gosh, I'm sorry. But yeah, I think the colours work so well. I'm also strangely enamored with Kurt's hair. Now I want a steampunk outfit...
No no, I agree! Steampunk usually has you thinking of people covered in smoke, dust, and grease stains, since most do work with mechanics. But to be in character, I am definitely sure these two would have this highly sophisticated air about them and a clean look. Being so elegant, they either have others running the messier jobs, or they change to fit the situation (Like how Kurt changes into overalls when helping his father, and as both he and Blaine have shown they have knowledge of mechanics.)
Sorry for rambling as well, but really now, the fact that you are one in a million that actually care to take a minute to appreciate the details I put thought into... it means so much! Thank you!
Thank you so much dear! And you're welcome! Inspiration is luckily contagious! And if you do manage to write a fic, do link it, I would love to read it!
